This is SCTV (http://sctvguide.ca/index.htm) at it's best. Featuring the late great John Candy.

"Alberta Bound," at the very end.

Same here Char, I actually have it on video. I hadn't watch it for a while. Was a big SCTV fan.

Never missed one episode. Bob and Doug, are also on You Tube.

Boy, that brought back some memories. The car is similar to the one I took my license test in, except ours wasn't a convertible.
Isn't that Stompin' Tom Connors singing in the first part?
I didn't know John Candy was a Canadian. Too bad he died at such a young age. He made some great movies.

Yes Cathy it is Stompin Tom signing, in the first part.

John Candy was a Canuck, always liked him. In his interviews he was a shy and pleasant person, similar to Lightfoot. :)

Canadians are good friendly people. :D Im shy too. Not as much as when I was younger though.  ;)

I was pretty shy as a kid, too, but seem to have outgrown it.
I was so shy that I'd go in my bedroom and play along during Mom's infamous jam sessions. Every now and then, Dad would coax me into coming out.
I seemed to get over the shyness by age 12, and started participating in them all the time... some of the greatest memories of my childhood.
