I was watching and listening to this fab song, and was wondering what this great man died off.

Can anyone tell me? As I have forgotten, what took him away from us. He was another good one. ~Jesse~ :)

Thanks Charlene, you know I never think of Googles, but you are right. I did go check it out, and lots of info, I did find.

Did you go to the CNE Air Show? If so, how was it?

I heard something on the news, about the one in Halifax. It seems they would not want one type of plane, to be in . Because it's the same war planes that killed Canadian troops, by Friendly Fire...~Jesse~

The Air Show was great - views from the 40th floor were fabulous!
Yesterday the Snowbirds flew over the house--a school just a couple of miles away is named for a Snowbird who died in a training flight in 1998 at age 29 and was built in 2001. They do a fly-past every year...
They can't be anymore than 100 feet above ground when they go over...
THey almost didn't do it because some farmer complained about the noise...sheesh...once a year to honour a Whitby kid. - there's always someone ready to rain on the parade...The kids and others in town were very happy to hear and see the team honour Michael VanDenBos.

I imagine by then it was too late - the cancer had started probably. It's sad that a preventable disease stole him away at such a young age.
