Hanging out on these boards has me thinking of all the wonderful Canadian music I've enjoyed.
A recent trip to Canada introduced me to:
Gordon Belsher www.guernseycove.ca/Bio.asp (http://www.guernseycove.ca/Bio.asp)
The Rankin Family and the Red Shoe Pub www.redshoepub.com/history.htm (http://www.redshoepub.com/history.htm)
In Saratoga at Cafe Lena (several years ago), I had the great pleasure of hearing the music of Matapat www.matapat.com/ (http://www.matapat.com/) (traditional music from Quebec).
The sounds of which bring to mind my visits to Ireland and New Orleans and wonderful traditional Celtic/Cajun/Canadian music.
Love that sound! Merci!
