Hi everyone,
Just wanted to post a message for anyone who likes folk music as I do. When I first join the gordon lightfoot club, I met a lot of nice people. Barry Mclaughlin was one of them, and he is a real Gord fan. He has a wonderful cd out called "Pieces". I have heard his cd and he credits Gordon for his music and style of guitar playing ( I have been a fan of Gord since I was a child and still listen to him).
I have been talking Barry and his number one song "5th Avenue", won him a spot in the finals of the Open Mic Contest on Folk Alley.com. From there the winner will play on stage at Kent State Folk Festival in November. He would like for anyone to go to the website and listen to his song and cast your vote. Just log in to http://www.folkalley.com/openmic/finals and follow the instruction for voting. The song is really touching and I hope everyone will cast your votes. Thank you for your time. :)
