2 years before the British Invasion this group witch was British recorded a song called Silver Threads. the lead singers name was Dusty. yes that 1 who would later have hits like Wishing and Hoping. and I Only Wanna be with You. what's so interesting is that it they recorded it in Nashville and Lightfoot as I understand from this post. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001939.html that he worked in Nashville and recorded some stuff. I wonder he might of bumped into them?

I suspect that had Gord sort of bumped into Dusty in Nashville he would not have forgotten
the encounter for a while.Certainly not until his bee stings had healed anyway

It was all I could bear just to watch her lying there
Disowned and ragged princess with the sun locked in her hair

And Affair/Tou(c)y I do not believe there is any truth in the rumour that Dusty was a "witch"

Just 2 weeks ago on PBS,I watched a special about "Dusty". It featured some rare 1960's interview clips and performances from the BBC and Ed Sullivan Show & others. Pretty neat, first time I'd ever seen any of these clips too.
If they made a bi-opic about her,I'd pick Katey Segal of 8 Simple Rules & Married With Children to play her. She can sing and also hen she was made up as Peg Bundy, she quite resembled her (if she dressed tackier that is! :D ).
Very unusual voice on Dusty too but i guess that's what makes you pay attention.
