when i win the lottery I will have Shane build my home. His work is stunning.He's been featured many, many times here in the Toronto area. His homes are truly amazing.
The pic of his home (I get Macleans delivered)and it's interior in the magazine show the attention to architectural detail inside and out. He attributes this to his love of literature and how it has made him a more observant individual so he pays more attention to detail. It shows!

Yeah, when I win the lottery they'll have to scrape my remains off the floor first, LOL. Actually the condo is almost doable - with taxes just under $3000 a year?? My home's annual taxes (city, county, school) run around $2000 for a house assessed at just under $54K. Even with the currency exchange, wow. And gorgeous doesn't hurt.

you both allude to the 'lottery' I know very little about the lottery on your side of the pond. Here in the UK we need 6 numbers from 49 to win the jackpot. The odds are in the region of 14,000,000 to 1.
At £1 per ticket.

There is a new TV quiz game over here, it goes out after the lottery has been drawn on Saturday night. The winner has a choice of either £20,000 or 100,000 lottery tickets. The first winner took the tickets.

Out of 100,000 chances he had 1760 tickets with 3 numbers @ £10 each this gave him £17,600. About 210 tickets had 4 numbers. None had 5 and none had 6 (the jackpot). His total prize money came to just over £26,000 so he made the right decision.

However, it did surprise me that an investment of £100,000 yielded only £26000. I now know why I do not do the lottery.

Odds are at LEAST that, some much higher depending on which lottery game you play - which is why I seldom play the New York State Lottery, or the multi-state Mega Millions. I do play Take Five (pick 5 numbers from 1-40) because the odds are better, though the top prize is around $100,00 US daily. 2 numbers out of 5 gives you a free play for another ticket. 3/5 runs $15-25, 4/5 $400-600. I get many free plays (three this past week) and the occasional 3 number ticket.

we have tons of lotteries - the one i play is 6/49. the top prize is usually between 8 - 15 million dollars. money drops off quite a bit with second prize and down.
