Interesting piece,I heard about that on the news. I can't help but wonder...why is this such a big story? Slow news day? :D

There are 2 stations here in Phoenix that have actually "tweaked" their formats,as opposed to an all out change.

Kool FM (oldies)has added what's known as "new oldies",that being songs all the way up to 1989! Imagine my shock in January when I tuned in and heard "That's What Friend's Are For" from 1985! x2! Now I know how my Mother's generation must have felt in the early 70s!

The other station 98.7fm has gone from "lite rock" to playing 70s,80s & "whatever they want" supposedly. So I call them and try to req. Gordon Lightfoot and the DJ tells me,"We discussed that at the format change meetings and we agreed he's too 1960's".

I still listen but they'rekinda fibbing when they say they play the best! tongue.gif
