I pass on this link that he posted on the Newsgroup today:- http://www.rio.com.br/animation/iconstory.htm
Be warned you will need either a nice high speed connection or a large dollop of patience it is a fascinating animated flash
thingie. But once loaded will repeat if you don't exit and/or didn't believe it the first time around

with all due respect to another old man sir,I always thought that the idea of a topic and reply system was that after a topic was started (in this case by me)subsequent replies would naturally be just that a reply possibly commenting on the actual topic subject and adding something to the discourse or mentioning the subject of the topic or as a minimum at least quoting part of an earlier reply. I have reread your lengthy and no doubt to some readers fascinating reply and fail to se any connection or relevance to my originl theme
Correct me if I am wrong , but did you perhaps use the wrong reply here or did you think you were someplace else or were even starting a new topic??
Now had you taken the small trouble of registering here as a member you could have smartly deleted your "reply" but as it is it will remain a part of this topic for eternity and no doubt cause even more scalp-scratching in future
That's all I have to say about that for now
