Well all right I was responding to a topic on cats and dogs on the main GL forum and thought I would link to a pair of pics of my two most recent feline companions when they were both very small but felt this might lead to a lengthy non-GL thread so have decided to start one here. My two pics are
http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/aliceindrainer.jpg Alice looking very "laid-back" in the drainer (an unposed portrait honest!!) http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/rascal.jpg
And a very little Rascal in front of a much larger copper coal scuttle
"Alice" is scanned frrom a print but "Rascal" was scanned from a slide

Edited to correct my usual typos and change file name!!

John,
They are absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!
Mick thinks three tomcats in the house are enough but, as my two dear old girl moggies died recently and Eleanor and I are feeling outnumbered, we have decided, come Spring, to sneak another two little ones into the house. You can never have too many kittens dashing around!

Alice looks a lot like the kitten I just inherited, except mine, Allie, has a white nose. My son's girlfriend asked if she could leave the kitten here overnight, while she went home and convinced her father into letting her keep it. That was over a month ago. Looks like her convincing didn't work.
My other cat, Smokie used to be slim and playful, but now, every time he see's Allie eating, and she eats A LOT because she's a growing cat, he has to go over and pig out, too, so now he's gotten very fat and very lazy.

John, Rascal is adorable. How old are they now?

I am not a cat person but even I have to admit they are very adorable, they look like they would be a lot of entertainment for you.

I've always been a dog person, but I have to admit, the two cats I have now have stolen my heart. They'll never replace old Snoop the Doberman, but they pretty cool in their own little ways.

Nice little pets you've got there. Our latest pet was a cat, but we had to get rid of her shortly after we moved into the new house because she was scratching the screens on the porch.
