My grandson got on the computer and did something, now the pages don't fit in the window. Is there a way to resize so I don't have to scroll to see everything? Also, I have about a half inch dead space on the side of the screen that is just black and I can't get the window to fit the full screen. Any body able to help? Checked on the web but everything is about fitting a web page in a browser.

Did you try clicking the "Maximize" button on the top right corner of your browser? There's an "x", "_" and the button you want is in between those two.

brink,
after you try the resizing if there is still a black border look for the buttons on the monitor itself. Press "menu" and you will see all sorts of icons. Look for a window with arrows pointing left and right and one with arrows pointing up and down. These can be used by using the "+" and "-" buttons on the monitor. Use the exit button when you get rid of the black border. Questions ?

If neither of those suggestions solves the problem, you can check your display settings by right clicking on a blank spot in your desktop and choosing settings. I like my icons and screens a little smaller, so mine is set at 1024 x 768 pixels, but there is slider there where you can adjust the screen resolution (and therefore the size) to your preference. Some of the software out there requires a certain resolution, I know some of my photo editing programs are like that and they change the settings for you - unfortunately they don't change them back, so your grandson may have changed the settings without fully realizing what would happen http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks Watchman, Bill W and Janice, I did have to use the keys on the monitor to move the screen and THANK YOU JANICE that is exactly what I needed to do. How that kid got in there to mess with that I have no idea. I am going have to watch him better. Thanks again, it was driving me crazy!

I'm glad that between the three of us, we were able to get you back on track, Brink. I know how frustrating it is to have your screen different from what you're used to and prefer. It's very possible that he didn't get in there at all - like I said, some programs and games will change it automatically. He could have just accessed a game that did that. I found that out the hard way, which is why I thought to suggest checking the settings http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif
