While waiting for Gord to get back on stage I figured I should go see some other folks who are getting on in years. We saw BB King at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside PA, which is where I last saw Gord, and met a bunch of you guys, remember?. Anyway, what a show from a 78 year old..... good grief, it was wonderful. Even if the BLUES is not your first choice go see the show if it comes near you, I had to drive 3 hours but it was worth it, even through the darn snow on the way home.

Peace,

I had a chance to see B.B. King once but missed it. It was in 1987,when he was the opening act on U2's world tour. Just like it was yesterday,I remember going to the record store at the mall and buying my $5.00 ticket.
(The price had been lowered to assure a packed Sun Devil Stadium for the film project,"Rattle & Hum".) There were 2 shows, one on the 19th of Dec. and the next day. I got lucky and got the first.

The reason I missed B.B. King was,I got out of work late, the show was on a Saturday (which back then meant the bus service in Phx was limited and the Tempe area where the stadium is has no service.) I got downtown okay but I ended up taking a taxi to the show, not to expensive then. By the time I got there,he had long left the stage.

It didn't bother me though,at the time,I had no idea who he was and was just glad to get there on time for the main attraction. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif Then,after...I took a $23 cab home! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/eek.gif Crazy! Later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

Val,

Thanks for remembering, can't prove something really happened without witnesses,LOL.

B,
If BB comes through your town again, go see him, you'll thank me, and we're all partial to old dudes on stage, right ?

I remember the Gord concert. We sat next to each other, front row center.
