Well,since only 2 people have been on the main board all day I decided to start a topic here instead. We all know by now Arnold S. is running for Gov. of California. My own opinion on it is that if he truly has iron clad ideas about how to improve things in California,then more power to him. If he's just doing this to show off (which I doubt) then he'd better "terminate" this idea before he gets in over his head. Boy,1st Reagan and now him. Could this mean that somewhere down the road we'll have our first "out of towner" President? Ya never know! What do you say? Borderstone,

If I remember my 8th grade civics class correctly, Arnold cannot be elected President. He is a naturalized citizen and only natives can be elected President or Vice President of the good ol' USA! But Governor - you betcha!

Yes, you're correct. A person has to be born in the U.S. to be President. Thank goodness for small miracles. This whole recall is like a bad joke, funded by a man with nothing better to do with his millions than screw up California government. And the true kicker to all this is that the citizen of California are going to foot the bill for the recall election. Some rich guy decides to throw a monkey wrench in the works and then walks away leaving the taxpayers of California to pick up the bill for his rampage. What a waste.

I do agree that this recall election is an abuse of the process. The recall procedure was placed in our state constitution to provide for the removal of officials who were found guilty of serious crimes or gross malfeasance. I'm not a fan of Gray Davis but IMHO he has not done anything to merit being subjected to a recall.
